After a tasty lunch, head to beautiful St. John with a view of St. Thomas the whole way. We will pass by Christmas Cove on Little St. James where Christopher Columbus spent Christmas before discovering the Unites States. Once we arrive in St. John it is time to play. Waterlemon Cay is an all time favorite. There are a several hiking options from this location. One of our favorites is the Annaberg ruins. You can take self-guided tour and see some spectacular views. These are fascinating buildings of the old sugar mills and are very well-kept. Waterlemon Cay is also said to have the “best snorkeling” on St. John. This has historically been one of our favorite snorkel stops of all time. Look for sea turtles and rays in the grassy areas. We will have dinner and spend the night in the tranquil Leinster Bay.
Wake up to a beautiful view outside your porthole and have breakfast up top with a morning breeze. Then, we’re off!! First we will clear customs at Soper’s Hole, one of the most charming natural harbors in the Caribbean. Get some quick boutique shopping done before heading over to Norman Island. Legend says, Norman Island was the model for the book Treasure Island by Robert Louis Stevenson. Here we will enjoy snorkeling the Caves, one of the most popular tourist attractions in the British Virgin Islands. After dinner enjoy a “crazy” night at infamous Willy T’s or Pirates Bar. There is always a good times to be had in the Bight by everyone.
Sail over to Peter Island, a private and largely undeveloped island. Offering scenic walks to private beaches, amazing views, as well as activities and seclusion. Spend the day at Deadman’s Bay, rated one of the 10 most romantic beaches. Enjoy snorkeling or just relaxing on one of our mats. We will have a quiet evening at Great Harbor. This is a great spot have some dinner, sit back, and watch the play of light at sunset over Tortola.
After breakfast we’ll head up Virgin Gorda. Once we arrive we will go ashore to The Bath’s. the number one visited place in the BVI’s with caverns and grottos to explore. You will find rocky shores all over the Virgin Islands but nothing compares to this. These are the gigantic boulders along a scenic shore. The result is a collection of beautiful hidden pools to wander through. We will anchor off Virgin Gorda for the evening. Watch for some amazing views and colors as the sun sets.
Today we will set sail to the north side of Virgin Gorda to the Bitter End. There are a lot of water sports to do there. You can go snorkeling, skiing, wakeboarding, and much more. The Bitter End is filled with beach bars and more shopping. The Bitter End Yacht Club is a nice place to sit and have a cocktail on the beach and enjoy the beautiful sunset. We’ll stay the night in beautiful Leverick Bay for lot’s of entertainment ashore.
Sail down to the small little Island of Marina Cay.This charming stop is near the top of the list for lots of boaters, and for good reason. It’s a well-protected, breezy little island hideaway with plenty to offer the visitor. Take an afternoon and explore the island, shop, sniff the numerous flowers, swim in protected waters. The sunset views are outrageous. Have a painkiller while enjoying the music of Michael Beans.
